Materials and Metallurgical Engineering Department established in 1998, the department has emerged as a powerhouse for academics, scientific research and cutting edge technologies. With time, the department has grown noticeably and established new areas of research and teaching in materials engineering, while retaining its strength in traditional areas in metallurgy. The department attracts highly qualified faculty members by virtue of its infrastructure and research environment. The department is actively involved in research by inviting experts from many nearby industries such as Tata Steels, Usha Martin, Research Institute like RDCIS, SAIL, and NML etc. Reasonable numbers of consultancy projects are being carried out by the department.
